Artist Statement:
my best friend hands me a book cataloguing the work of Brice Marden. the location is Manchester by the Book. as i go to my temporary home and sit in front of a portal to wilderness. i begin to learn about Brice. i begin to understand what and how to dive into abstraction. how to live in abstraction. it’s a feeling. a vibe. making something for someone from somewhere. making something out of nothing. meander around a while until you figure it out. or you don’t. it’s about making. creating. no thought all thought. art is about having fun taking risks. falling on your face getting up and drinking a pint.
