DISTANT FIGURES Los Angeles artists Kristen Liu-Wong and Luke Pelletier curated this exhibition of work by six artists, all friends with California ties. Their figurative paintings and drawings tell stories about characters and places; some are mythical, some are erotic, some are comical. They share a strong graphic aesthetic, a taste for Pop Art, and — in the case of the paintings — a bold palette.
